Choreographer/educator Susan Sgorbati has explored movement through the intersection of art and non-art ideas with noted scientists Gerald Edelman and Stuart Kauffman, as well as a select group of dancers, musicians and designers.

For many years, a changing group of dancers have collaborated in this field of performance through a delineation of structured ideas having to do with concepts of organization and as visualized by the moving body.

The continual exchange of ideas between dancer and scientist has extended the possibilities of both the

dance and the science.

 

In 2006, Sgorbati invited Elliot Caplan to join in this innovative work as filmmaker.
